Who: Savela Family: Me, DH, Matthew 3 1/2 and Stephanie 18 months
Where: Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom
When: May 2, 2004
What: Rainforest Natural Burger, Turkey Wrap, Children's Mac and
Cheese and Children's Chicken Nuggets, Iced Tea, Diet Coke, and
children's drinks (included)
Approximate Price of Entrees: Burger ($9.50) Wrap (10.99) Kid's
meals ($5.99 each)
Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 4
Service: 2 (extremely slow to bring food and to mop up a drink spill)
Atmosphere: 5
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes
Be Sure to Try: DH did not care for his veggie burger and he usually
orders these at other restaurants. The Turkey wrap was excellent
and I split it with DH. Came with chips and cole slaw. The
children's platters were large and neither of my children finished
them.
General tips: If you go during the Summer or on hot days, this is a
very cool/cold dining room. It could have to do with the water and
lack of brigt lighting. It was a welcomed relief after our morning
in the sun and very high humidity.
Dollarless tips: We joined the Safari club as recommended on the
list. We got priority seating, $10 off our first meal (which we
used on this day) and other perks in the future (10% in gift shop
restaurant, etc.)
Extra Comments: My children really like this restaurant, but there
were many other little ones that were afraid of the thunderstorms
and animals.
