Modified Tipping Guidelines on DCL
Disney Cruise Line has changed their recommended tipping guidelines for all sailings beginning July 13. The total tips suggested per guest are $36 for a three-night cruise, $48 for a four-night cruise, and $84 for a seven-night cruise.

No Costa Maya Stops for DCL
Because of hurricane damage from 2007, Disney Cruise Line has removed stops at Costa Maya from all 2008 itineraries. The modified itineraries are:

    September 27, October 25, and November 22
    Saturday – Port Canaveral
    Sunday – Castaway Cay
    Monday – Day at Sea
    Tuesday – Grand Cayman
    Wednesday – Cozumel
    Thursday – Day at Sea
    Friday – Castaway Cay
    Saturday – Port Canaveral

    December 22
    Saturday – Port Canaveral
    Sunday – Castaway Cay
    Monday – Day at Sea
    Tuesday – Cozumel
    Wednesday – Grand Cayman
    Thursday – Day at Sea
    Friday – Castaway Cay
    Saturday – Port Canaveral

The Magic on the West Coast
The Disney Magic safely reached Los Angeles, and has begun its second round of Mexican Riviera seven-night cruises. The Magic will begin its return voyage to Port Canaveral on August 17.

90-day Trial Suspension of Staggered Dining on Wonder
DCL is testing a move away from their staggered dining concept for 90 days, in an effort to evaluate the best set-up for the cruise line. During the trial, the Main dining seating is at 5:45 p.m. and the Late seating is at 8:15 p.m. Breakfast on disembarkation morning is still staggered.

Fuel Surcharges on DCL
Rising fuel costs have caused Disney Cruise Line to impose a fuel surcharge. Effective for bookings made on or after May 28, a surcharge of $8 per person, per day for the first two guests in a stateroom and $3 per day for all other guests will be added to the cost of the cruise. This surcharge is capped at $112 each for the first and second guests and $42 for all other stateroom guests.
